Hut Facilities
Formerly a shepherd's cottage, Cae'r-frân has been refurbished and extended and is subject to a program of continual improvement. The Hut now boasts four dormitories, a dining/sitting room, drying room, boot room, a large kitchen and separate men’s and women’s toilet and shower facilities. One (downstairs) dormitory is reserved at all times for the use of MMC Members.
Facilities include:
- Electric cooker with ovens and grills.
- One large microwave oven.
- Two Fridges.
- Cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery.
- Large storage boxes for food.
- Electric heater, radiant electric fire and fan heater. A separate heater is fitted in the drying room.
- Separate male and female shower and toilet facilities.
- Immersion heater for kitchen and wash basins, electrically heated showers.
- Drying room, fitted with drying racks, fan heater and de-humidifier.
- A boot area with racks, pegs, seating and shelving.
- Hut fee include all electricity, hot water, consumables and cleaning equipment.
- Dormitories: 14 places in two first floor dorms (1 x 8, plus 1 x 6) with comfortable bunkbeds. In addition, 4 places are reserved for MMC members in a 2 bed first floor dorm, plus a ground floor bunk room.
